BEAUTY COUNTER

Safer options for Beauty

It isn’t in my nature to be a pushy sales person. So when it comes to products I believe in, most of the time I am happy to discuss my personal passions over casual conversation, educate you on what I know and let you decide on your own. Since this is a web page and not an in-person encounter, consider this page our casual conversation. Grab a beverage and make yourself comfortable. Let’s talk. (Ok, well, I’ll talk.)

It has been and will continue to be, a personal goal of mine to be as “toxic free” as I possibly can. (No one can really be 100%!) Like doTERRA essential oils, Beauty Counter is another company with whom I easily align. I use essential oils to support my health because they are a natural option. I use Beauty Counter because they have extremely high standards as to what does and, more importantly, does NOT go into their products and ultimately onto my body.

The United States, quite frankly, has a disgraceful regulation of what goes into beauty products. There is a small list of ingredients, 30 to be more accurate, that are banned from beauty products here in the US. The EU bans 1,400. Yes, you read that right, 1,400. Beauty Counter has constructed a “Never List” containing 1,800 toxic or dangerous ingredients that they will NEVER allow into their beauty products. It is their mission to get safer products into the hands of consumers. Their motto is: “Formulate, advocate, and educate”. They work hard to develop, push and fight hard against lax regulations and educate the heck out of everyone who wants to listen.

I am a question asker. I like to understand things at a deep level. That takes a lot of research and a lot of time. So questions like, What is this ingredient that I can’t pronounce? and Is it harmful? are questions that I don’t feel like I have time to research on my own; but with Beauty Counter, I am confident that if an ingredient is listed, it’s safe.

I’ve not only made the switch to better beauty, but I also became a consultant so that I too can help get these products into the hands of people looking to make cleaner, safer choices, without having to sacrifice the quality of the product. The company is women-led, has high standards and offers a whole array of products from cleansers and lotions to make up, including a great “CounterMan” line.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, that’s totally fine. Let me guide you to a third-party website called the Environmental Work Group (www.EWG.org). They evaluate the safety of not only beauty products, but also household cleaners, foods and detergents. Enter a product in the search bar and it will spit out a rating for you, and which ingredients are good and which ones are not.

There are some great products out there and narrowing them all down and trying to find them can be overwhelming. Let me simplify it for you. Click below to educate yourself, check out the plethora of products and contact me if you’d like me to send you a sample or two. (It’s always nice to try something first) I will be happy to answer as many questions as I can (or ask my peeps) to get you on your way to experience and love cleaner, healthier beauty. (Including how to earn credit back for purchases. It’s like free money for products!)

I can personally attest to the fact that it feels great to check off one more area in your life that you are going toxic free. And in this case, you’ll look even MORE fabulous than you do already!!
