Sacred Death Care: Accepting a New Identity After a Loss

  • Peace of the Planet 12 Fern Way Madbury, NH, 03823 United States (map)

With every ending, there is a new beginning. Whether that is a physical loss or accepting a new reality that lies ahead, mourning loss and embracing the new normal is hard.

A wife who loses a husband becomes a widow. A child who loses their parents becomes an orphan. A person who loses their best friend, a nameless loss, becomes a person grieving their dear friend. But how do we gracefully transition from one identity to another? How do we function when we have gone from a world hat is known and has order into one that includes death, places and feelings we’ve never felt and a feeling of chaos?

In this session we will focus our discussions on understanding the “Archetypal Cycle of Initiation” where we go from ordinary life, to one where we acknowledge the complete death of ‘what was’. And how to gently re-enter a meaningful life as a changed.

Come prepared to discuss your own experiences with loss and learn from others.

Refreshments will be served.

No fee for session. Gratuities appreciated but not expected.
