Surrendering your Pain with Wintergreen

January is the year of "ringing in the new". We all have free will to make changes in our lives: eat cleaner, find an exercise program that will work, be kinder, listen, love more, whatever it is.

🌺

How many of us have started a new exercise program, after months of dormancy, in January? We are reintroduced to those muscles we haven't challenged in ages (hello triceps, glutes, and abdominals! How have you been???) and happily, they make themselves known. (Ppssst. this is a good time to reach for the wintergreen oil!!)

🌺

Wintergreen oil has properties that help support rheumatism (any various conditions that have inflammation, pain in muscles, joints or fibrous tissue) and is an analgesic. It also is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. (and found in doTERRAs Deep Blue rub and oil blend) Dilute with fractionated coconut oil and apply to sore muscles after an intense workout.

🌺

Beyond physical pain and inflammation, Wintergreen has emotional properties too... it is the oil of Surrender. This oil helps you to turn your worries over to a higher power so that you can release and let go. Apply to your shoulders, where we hold the energy of responsibility (i.e.: taking the weight of the world onto your shoulders) or diffuse and allow the aroma to embrace you, so that you can fully let go.
